What are these camps?
The Mt. Washington Valley School to Career Partnership is a coalition between the Mount Washington Valley (MWV) business community and the nine area schools in SAU#9 and #13, as well as MSAD 72, and Fryeburg Academy.
The week-long summer camps are designed to introduce local youth to the variety of career opportunities available in the area.
Who are they for?
The camps are for middle school youth entering grades 7, 8, or 9. The FAA ACE Camp for STEM Aviation, Outdoor Recreation Camp - H2O, and Outdoor Recreation Camp - Sampler are available to youth entering grades 8, 9, or 10.
How much do the camps cost?
Thanks to a generous grant, the camps are being offered FREE in 2024. When registering, you do have the option to donate and support the nonprofit Mt. Washington Valley School to Career Partnership.
What is the refund policy?
In the event you cannot attend the MWV School to Career camp you may be entitled to a refund. You will receive a full refund as long as you provide written notice (letter or email) no less than 30 days prior to the start of the camps. If you notify us less than 30 days from the start of the camps you will receive a 50% refund. No refund will be issued if you cancel less than 14 days from the camp start date.
When do the camps take place?
All camps take place in late June, July, and early August of 2024.
What times are the camps held?
The camps start between 8 - 9 AM and end from 3-4 PM, depending on the camp. Please see individual camp listings for details. Camp times may vary due to field trips and other variables. In addition, camps often end early on Fridays.
Where do the camps take place?
Most of the camps are based at Kennett High School in North Conway, NH. The STEM Mars Exploration Camp takes place at the Conway Public Library in Conway, NH. The FAA ACE Camp for STEM Aviation camp takes place at the Eastern Slopes Regional Airport in Fryeburg, ME. Please see the Locations page for addresses and maps.
How does registration work?
Registration is best done online. You must complete the registration form and add to cart for each camper (if registering more than one child) and for each camp (if registering your child for more than one camp). Please gather the requested information ahead of time to make the form easier to complete. After checkout, we'll provide a link to the required waiver. We will contact you to confirm your registration within 2 weeks.
Can I register more than one camper?
Yes, you may register multiple children in one order. Please follow these steps:
- For the first camper, visit the desired camp listing, complete the registration form, and add to the cart.
- For the next camper, visit the desired camp listing, complete the registration form, and add to the cart.
- Complete step 2 for additional campers or checkout if you're done.
Can I register my child for more than one camp?
Yes, children may take more than one camp. Please follow these steps:
- For the first camp, visit the desired camp listing, complete the registration form, and add to the cart.
- For the next camp, visit the desired camp listing, complete the registration form, and add to the cart.
- Complete step 2 for additional camps or checkout if you're done.
